Mold blown and hand formed, vase with horizontal ribs and fluted top, in a translucent glass, white on the outside and shading to an opalescent salmon on the inside in a kind of "Burmese" effect.

Background: Founded in 1950, in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada by a Czech (John Furch), Altaglass produced attractive collectible glass into 1988. Pieces such as this were mouth-blown into wood molds and then shaped by hand.
