Bull Tile by
Lars Thirslund Værksted
Approximately 6" square

Tile or plaque with stylized bull in medium relief, and covered in a dark blue-green high glaze.

Thirslund had a small studio in the 1950's. His work is highly regarded by Danish collectors, though is seldom seen in the U.S. This is the first piece we have had.

There is a small glaze chip in the upper left hand corner -- just visible in the photo at left. Easily repaired, or covered if framed. However, our price reflects this defect.

The back of the tile bears the two impressed marks seen at right, plus a third which reads DANMARK, all enclosed in a hand incised border.
