footed compote, covered in Haeger's "Blue Crackle" glaze - a
hi-glaze of cobalt to lighter turquoise tones, with
hues of green, and areas of wonderful golden volcanic
glaze. See

Crackle", also known to collectors as "Etruscan,"
was made to imitate the patina of ancient Etruscan pottery
unearthed in Italy. It was created by master ceramist
Helmut Bruchmann, ceramic engineer at Haeger from
1953 to 1967. 1960's $
