Backgammon Decor

1-7/8" high x 8-3/16" diameter
Low,
round bowl decorated in a bold geometric pattern of
rust-brown, blue, gray-green and black, reminiscent of a
backgammon board. The underside is decorated in rings of
rust-red, blue, black and white. All-over
hi-glaze.
Circa
1920's.

Founded
as a stove maker in 1839, around 1900, Kahler Keramicks
began producing "...heavily patterned ceramics for which
the factory became know." moving "easily among the many
decorative trends of the twentieth century." (See:
