Oblong, weathered brass brooch; acid-etched design with four 'bumped' areas, and bezel-set with an oval, faceted, blue-foil-backed, glass cabochon.

Pewter-mounted, Square "ruskin", Arts & Crafts Brooch
1-7/16" square

Round cabochon in cobalt to, medium mottled blue. Tiny burst bubble, showing white, at 3 o'clock. (Other white areas are light reflections.) Mounted in hammered pewter with nice patina. Older "C" clasp.

Shield-shaped sterling brooch in the Art Nouveau style, depicting a soldier with rifle and pack, marching among trees, against a blue enameled sky. Bears the motto: VÆRG DIT LAND (which is Norwegian and/or Danish for "Defend Your Land").
