exquisitely conceived form, beautifully executed in
relatively thin-walled, dusky blue glass. Designed 1963 by
Kjell Blomberg for Gullaskruf (1955-77)
Sweden. Unsigned. (Often confused with a similar, but less
elegant design by Timo Sarpeneva.) One
could easily imagine this a perfectly formed raindrop just
loosed from above. CONDITION $

Closed in 1921; re-opened, 1927; acquired by
Krona-Bruken, 1974; leased (later sold) to
Orrefors, 1977; closed,1983. Production restarted,
1990, finally closed down 1995.
