Heavy, thick-walled, stoneware vase of oval cross section. White clay body, having a pitted surface, and covered in a mottled, dark blue, semi-matte.

This mark believed to date ca. 1938-1940's.

Background: Gunnar Nylund (1904-1989) worked at Bing & Grondahl 1926-29, with Natalie Krebs, to form Nylund-Krebs. In 1931 he joined Rorstrand just before their move to Lidkoping in 1932. He was art director for Rorstrand until 1958 when he left to direct Nymolle.
