Sgraffito Petroglyph Decor
7-1/4" high x 4-5/8" diameter

Handled stoneware jug, decorated with two petrogrlyph drawings cut into the surface in the sgraffito technique, each with what appears to be a single cointinuous line. Applied ring handle. Interior is clear glazed, while exterior is unglazed.



The base is wholly unmarked.

 


On one side is a bovine, or cow-like figure...


...on the other, an antelope-like figure.
