Self-footed bowl of heavy, very lightly green-tinted crystal, internally decorated with "pools" of color in cobalt and green. By one of the foremost glass artists now working in The Czech Republic.

Background: Jaroslav Svoboda is one of the premier glass artisans in The Czech Republic today. From 1969-1987, he was a Director and designer at the Skrdlovice glass factory. In 1987 he became professor and Director of the Glass Studio at the Academy of Applied Arts, Prague, succeeding Stanislav Libensky. He began executing his own designs circa 1964, and opened his own Art Glass Studio Svoboda in 1990.
His work is in many private and public collections, including The National Gallery in Prague, The Corning Glass Museum in the U.S., and Frauenau in Germany.
