Hand-wrought Superbly
designed and crafted, the lid of this sterling silver
box embraces an inset, hammer-sculpted, domed copper top,
bearing a swirled depression which fairly begs to be fondled
and caressed. (Captain Queeg, where are you?) Fortunately,
however, the box's previous owner somehow resisted this
temptation, for the copper remains richly, deeply and darkly
patinated. Very
likely unique. We
defy you to restrain your thumb from exploring the subtle
and sensuous curves of the skillfully wrought copper
top. The
die stamped signature found on the bottom of the
box. (If
you're buying for resale, be careful! $255.

We have been unable to learn anything about Ms. or
Mr. Terkelsen, other than the self-evident fact
that she or he was a master metalsmith, possessed
of a deep sense of passion.
You may not be able to part with this one.)
