Looking suspiciously like American country pottery, this studio piece is from the Torngren studio in Falkenberg, Sweden.

Hand-thrown, with two applied handles and three horizontal shoulder scores, this "folky" vase exhibits a sure mastery of the potter's art.

Torngren's work is seldom found, and quite rare in the U.S.
